Students' Future

By: Ghayas Baig

Students have an excellent role in the development and they are considered as symbol of bright future for a country and they play a vital role in the progress.
Since our country has not much resources of creating jobs and appropriate atmosphere for development in industrial sector, engineering, telecom, and I.T etc, so how can they play their role?
If we compare literacy rate of neighbor countries we will see that India's literacy rate is 65.3%, China 93%, Iran 82.3% Sri Lanka 92% while Pakistan has only 57% literacy rate which is lowest.
The main reason of illiteracy is lack of unawareness for education. On the other hand, inflation has affected poor people due to which a number of students are deprived of education.
In rural areas where schools and colleges are not available they have to face multiple problems.
Technical institutions like Mono Technical and Poly Technical Institutes have been established to impart technical education.
Beside this Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Youth Development Program has also been started to train the youth. Such programs will create a hope to over come the illiteracy.
India improved education system which is often cited as one of the main contributors to the economic growth of India.
Its educational budget of 2010 was 31,036 crore (US$ 6.73 billion) (2009-10). Unfortunately, here we have different situation.
First of all we do not have much resources and on the other hand whatever we have we are unable to use them effectively.
Having no job opportunities people are moving abroad and working there as well as getting education too.
There is unrest due to which people are not satisfied. The main problem of our country is uncertainty, which has negatively influenced our economic, commercial and foreign relations. Unless, uncertainty is over come we can not compete k with other countries.
