We all are living in the age of competition and we strive to get a suitable job in some reputed organization. Being jobless in today's world is a big curse and many factors are responsible for this.

Every year, many institutions awards degree of graduation to thousands of people in various disciplines but there arises a question that do they get suitable jobs in their related fields? The answer is “No”, because we do not have those resources of job placement organizations which can accommodate the whole crowd.

IMS (International Medicine Service), the pharmaceutical industry is of the surviving industry which is still growing as 25% per year. Pharmaceutical Industry also gives so many benefits to its employee as handsome salary packages with incentive and free medical treatment. Fortunately in our region, there are so many multinational companies which are operating their business in Pakistan like Abbot, Berret Hodgson, GSK, AVENTIS, SEARLE, MERCK and so on.

Some national companies are also giving the equal benefits to their employees like Getz, Hilton and AGP Pharmaceuticals.

One of the main reasons why our youth is so attracted to pharmaceutical is that it has so fast career growth and it is easy way of earning with bonus and other benefits. Pharmaceutical opens the door for fresh graduate who are coming from other faculties along with botany and zoology, but graduation is obligatory to get that jobs.

Medical representative job is basically sales management job.

There is a great room to achieve care objective like customer selection, need identification, fulfill need and follow ups, arrange product presentation, RTDs, LSP are all responsibilities of Medical Rep.

According to the Gallup survey report, there are 850 national and multinational companies which are operating business in Pakistan. There are lots of opportunities for graduates to join Pharmaceutical Industries and show their skills. It is reputable job and career oriented field with bundles of benefits, besides incentives, foreign trips and high salary packages but there are some drawbacks of Medical Rep job because there is no fix time duration.

Though it includes marketing and for that a person has to do lots of efforts so that he can achieve his task. Still this field attracts millions of youth.

If this field is given due attention then for sure it could be used effectively for providing jobs to the deserving people.
