How will you resist if anyone of you comes to know that you can meet your favorite writer, musician or artist so easily? This happened to me when I came to know that Tina SANI (singer) coming to T2F. The second floor known as T2F, is a place where art exhibitions, book launchings, theater, music shows held, a place for intellectuals, students and art lovers. T2f is a platform for new artists to show their talent.
Besides Karachi violence and life threatening circumstances, this city has still different literal-cultural activities taking place at different places, in which some are old British Colonial Era Buildings i.e FRERE Hall and some new established. These all  remained un attractive until 2007, when the project of Peace Niche a non-profit NGO which formed the Idea of The Second Floor [T2F] a cafe and community space for communication and other things for people who love culture and art.
''T2F is a place where anyone without a 'membership' can freely enter, sit, enjoy a coffee, look around and chat and meet people in comfort’'.  Says Sabeen Mahmud co-founders T2F.
Ground floor starts with Faraar Gallery, full of cultural paintings. T2F remains opened all the seven days of week from 12 noon to 10 pm you can go any time there.
At T2F's book shop where you find huge collection of books. You can read and purchase them at reasonable prices.
Another superb thing, what they contained like art cards, notebooks, mugs and other artistic stuff and T-shirts, one T-shirt I liked most there was had quotation:
'' Believe in yourself the world will be yours one day.”
Going up the stairs in the cafe, stairs are very creatively painted and if you are person who note tiny details, you will find PACMAN is leading you to your way. Inside cafe T2f facilitates free wi-fi, laser printing and large HD TV screens. Cafe offers other things as well fresh baked cakes, banana bread, chocolate cup cakes etc.
This is a great place for people like us who can discuss about our work and meet people who related to our field'' ... like any producer, artist or script writer.
T2F is quite enjoyable place, as there is always something interesting going over there. Most of the events held there are free of cost. Digital security system installed after a robbery in 2011, when an Exhibition been going inside cafe named as ''loot Maar''.
T2F is a place which creates events to promote culture and art literature. In the words of Azad, a frequent visitor at T2F ''this place is for people who love culture, music art, literature, you can call this place home of creative people''.

How will you retort if anyone [of] (any of you) you come to know that you can meet your favorite writer, musician or artist so easily? Such thing happened to me when some time ago I came to know that Tina Sani (prominent singer) coming to T2F (read in a newspaper)! The second floor famous as T2F, is a place where art exhibitions, book launchings, theatre, music shows held, a place for intellectuals, students, art lovers, it’s a place where young artists have opportunity to show their artistic work, poetry music and other talents. Opportunities don't happen, people create them. So is mission of T2F.
Contrast to Karachi's dense population and mutely-ethnicity, beside violence and religious-political activities it has different literal-cultural activities in unlike different places. it has lots of places to spend good time, some of old British colonial era buildings like FRERE Hall and some new established, but none to attract like-minded people until 2007, when the project of Peace Niche a non-profit NGO which formed the Idea of The Second Floor [T2F] a cafe and community space for open dialogue and many other things for people who love culture and art.
in words of Sabeen Mahmud one of co-founders Peace Niche [NGO] and T2F, {in an interview said that}, ''T2F is a place where anyone without a 'membership', without a 'club' exclusivity can freely enter, sit, enjoy a coffee, look around and chat and meet people in comfort''.
When I entered in T2F at ground floor starts with Faraar gallery, where young artists can show their work of art, while encouraging them by creating a space for them. There paintings placed there one will go deep into them, and if you feel that your legs are tired, there are few chairs you can a rest a bit. Want to discuss these paintings, well, you will always find people there who can talk about them because T2F is opened all week days 12 noon to 10 p/m.
T2F's book shop where you find huge collection books, Urdu, English, books about poetry, philosophy, history, novels, music. You know you can pick any of them and start reading there! But if you love it, one can buy books has reasonable prices.
adding Faraar shop another superb thing, what they contained like T-shirts, (one T-shirt I liked most there was had quotation '' I think therefore, I am dangerous. we all are dangerous for traditional society if we think critically-- and yes Pakistan, by all no means is a traditional society) art post cards, note books, unique CD's, kettles, cups, mugs and other artistic stuff.
Going up the stairs in the cafe, well stairs are very creatively painted and if you are person who note tiny details, you will find PACMAN is leading you to your way and a line of Ghalib ''Na hota mien toh kya hota'' attracted me, but lost not the least you will find angry bird sitting with row of crows. Being inside the cafe is good experience too its creatively designed you will surely love it.
there few people seated in cafe with coffee's, two of youngsters had their head glued to cell phone, staff member was friendly I ask them of coffee, well it was bit (cost) for me it cost 200 hundred! Cafe offers other things as well fresh baked cakes, banana bread, chocolate cup cakes etc cafe is planning to add more items.
There I felt like being in ''Pak Tea House'' Lahore, another house for Intellectuals, writers. But good thing about T2F that anyone can go there, three guys whom I meet they were from drama/film industry, one introduced me as producer and other was script writer and third well I don’t have Idea who he was they all were frequent visitors. ‘‘This is a great place for people like us who can discuss about our work and meet people who related to our field'' one of them told me when I asked how you feel here.
T2F is quite enjoyable place, as there is always something interesting going over there, located at 10-c suns lane 5 D.H.A Phase 2 Extension Karachi. Most of the events held there are free of cost although some have manageable price to attract more people especially youngsters. Inside cafe T2F facilitates free Wi-Fi, laser printing facilities, large screen HD T.V.
Digital security system installed after a robbery in 2011, when an Exhibition been going inside cafe named as ''loot Maar'' 4 unknown armed persons held all people hostages and looted precious things from them!
T2F is a place which creates events to promote culture, art literature and tolerance. In the words of Azad, a frequent visitor at T2F ''this place is for people who love culture, music art, literature, you can call this place home of creative people''.
